![]() ![]() I am looking for ways to throttle noise level as it is very distracting while working on the PC as well as irritating to others in the same room. ![]() In this moment of my writing, the system idles at 3% system load.Īlso, there is no sound indicating any sort of defect on the bearings and I am sure it's the Wraith Prism as if I daringly (and not recommended) stop the fan with my hand, the rest of my system is almost entirely silent. My issue is the cooler is very loud as it appears to run at full throttle even when there is no system load. I have tried having no connection either RGB header / wire or usb from the cooler and that did not make a difference.I have a PC setup with an AMD 2700X Ryzen CPU with its stock Wraith Prism CPU cooler on a MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC. There should be a way that I can turn off the lights permanently. However, for my home theater PCs running the exact same hardware, this is not sufficient. Each time I reboot the PC I can open the AMD software and manually turn off the ring, fan and logo RGB lights on the AMD Wraith Spire Cooler. ![]() I did have control over the mobo RGB using the MSI Mystic light software but not the cooler.Īfter reading many forums, I read that if I download and install Cooler Master software and connect the AMD Wraith Spire Cooler to the motherboard using the USB connection on the fan I could control the lights. The MSI mobo has its own LED software called Mystic Light.Ĭonnected in this fashion I had no control over the AMD Wraith Spire Cooler led's not the ring, fan or logo lights. Initially, I had the AMD Wraith Spire Cooler connected MSI mobo via the MSI RGB header. I have an AMD 2700x processor in an MSI Tomahawk B450 motherboard. ![]()
